Avery Trace Library


The Avery Trace Middle School library is equipped with over 10,000 bound volumes, thirteen computers, daily newspapers, and a wide assortment of middle school age appropriate periodicals. In addition to the normal reference materials and teacher materials, the library is fully automated with the Alexandria Program. A computer lab is available for all teachers to use with their students during the regular school day. The Accelerated Reading Program and Star Program are two computer programs available for use by teachers and students. The Library Media Center houses 3,810 pieces of audiovisual software for teacher and student use. Included in this software is access to an Internet database, epnetcom, which includes 175 international and regional newspapers, government documents such as ERIC, 346 professional journals, and eighty-three full text periodicals. A media specialist and library assistant staff the library.
